Here’s to the Winner of the 2016 IIC Prize for Italian Literary Translation

2016 IIC Prize for Italian Literary Translation. And the winner is…THEA LENDICH, from Western Australia! Winner Thea Lendich will be honoured in Perth at an official award ceremony at the UWA (University of Western Australia) in the presence of Consul of Italy, Mr David Balloni. Thea has won a return airfare to Rome, 30 days stay at “Casa delle Traduzioni” (the Translation Centre in Rome) and $ 3000 to complete a translation project. Four participants were shortlisted and their translations were highly commended by the jury panel .

The IIC Prize for Italian Literary Translation will be offered yearly by the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne to promote contemporary Italian literature in translation.
