The Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne wishes to highlight that, in agreement with the Ministry of Universities and Research, the VIII edition of the Italian Research Day in the World (GRIM) will be celebrated on 22 April 2025.
This date was chosen to mark the birth of Professor Rita Levi-Montalcini, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1986 and the first Italian woman to be awarded this prestigious honor in the field of science.

The Italian Research Day in the World is a valuable opportunity to promote a modern and dynamic image of Italy — a country that produces high-quality science and innovation through the work of its researchers, both in Italy and abroad, across the public and private sectors.

The initiative also serves to strengthen and coordinate Italy’s leading contributions in research, technology and innovation, through the network of diplomatic missions abroad, Scientific and Space Attachés, associations of Italian researchers around the world, and innovation hubs of Italian companies operating internationally.

GRIM also continues to be a key occasion to advance Italy’s role in multilateral scientific diplomacy.
