As part of the St. ALi Italian Film Festival, the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne is delighted to present a special screening of The Greater Good (Il bene comune) on Sunday, 11 October, at Palace Cinema Como (299 Toorak Road, South Yarra VIC 3141).
Directed by and starring Rocco Papaleo, this bittersweet ensemble comedy is a heartfelt love letter to Basilicata. The film follows a group of hikers whose search for an ancient pine tree in Pollino National Park unexpectedly turns into a life-changing journey.
Before the 3:45 pm screening, enjoy a selection of Italian wines and Basilicata-inspired antipasti prepared by Lucanian chef Pino Russo, offering a taste of the region’s rich culinary traditions.
