Il mare, nel racconto di una vita (The sea, in the story of a life), 6th Edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World

Showcasing Italy and the Italian taste in the world, the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is a yearly initiative developed to promote Italian culinary traditions and food-and-wine connoisseurship as a distinctive trait of Italian identity and culture.

The theme for the 6th edition (22-28 November 2021) is “Tradition and perspectives of Italian cuisine: awareness and enhancement of food sustainability”.

Documentary made for ComeUnaMarea Onlus by Marco Musso (shots curated by Emanuele Cira and Gaspare Catania). The video, supported by the “European Fund for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries”, tells the “typical” day of a fisherman from Isola delle Femmine (Sicily), highlighting all the criticalities of a profession that is in danger of disappearing. (19 min video – English subtitled)
