Original version.

Diary of the location hunting carried out in India to verify the feasibility of a film inspired by a legend: a maharajah donates his body to save some tiger cubs who risk dying of hunger. The reflections on the project are intertwined with the historical-political ones on the Indian world: interviews with workers, peasants, “untouchables” and intellectuals.

“I am not interested in the documentary intended as a news report. Apart from a few articles in newspapers from many years ago, I have never been a journalist and I don’t even know how to do it. What I am touring for Tv7 is just my location hunting, my notes, that is, on a film to be made about India: (..) the documentary that will come out will be just this. ” (Pier Paolo Pasolini)
