“Greet and Meet” Francesca Cavallo, co-author of “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls”

Francesca Cavallo, co-writer with Elena Favilli of the international bestseller “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls” interviewed by Kylie Doust, PhD candidate & Italian tutor at La Trobe University.

When the two young authors founded their children’s media company Timbuktu Labs they were told ‘two girls alone’ could never raise money from Silicon Valley’s investors. Against all odds they launched their Kickstarter campaign for “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls” that became a stratospheric overnight success, breaking the record as the most highly funded original book in crowdfunding history.

What if the princess didn’t marry Prince Charming but instead went on to be an astronaut? What if the jealous step sisters were supportive and kind? And what if the queen was the one really in charge of the kingdom?

Illustrated by sixty female artists from every corner of the globe, “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls” reinvents fairy tales, inspiring children with the stories of 100 hundred remarkable women and their extraordinary lives, from Ada Lovelace to Malala, Elizabeth I to Serena Williams.

Big and inspirational dreams are guaranteed for girls and boys who read this book at bedtime. The stories are a great source of inspiration for anyone, male or female, child or adult.
