Italian Cine-scapes #2: Urban Space and Architecture Portrayed in 9 Movies

Palace Cinemas and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Melbourne, in collaboration with Istituto Luce Cinecittà, present the second edition of the successful series Italian Cine-scapes with a new exciting selection of movies that reveal the internal and external landscapes of a bygone and contemporary Italy.

The monthly Sunday night screenings from April until December will be preceded by an aperitivo in the foyer, courtesy of Ciccio & Ciccia Italian Bar & Restaurant at 6pm, a brief introduction to the film, followed by the screening.

Sunday, August 4: Honey/Miele

Valeria Golino [2013, 96’]

Valeria Golino takes on assisted suicide in her directorial debut. The film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

A woman (Jasmine Trinca) who secretly helps terminally ill patients end their lives meets an old man (Carlo Cecchi) who wants to die because he’s sick of life.
