In a single day, on May 30, 1431, Giovanna, taken prisoner, was judged by the ecclesiastical court, being accused of heresy. After resisting all the moral pressures and torture inflicted on her, she is sentenced to the stake and burned in the public square. The angry mob attacks the guards, but the rebellion is cruelly suppressed.
