Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields 2019 – Festival of Fine Music

In its 24th year, Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields is a summer celebration of early music. Directed by renowned organist Maestro Sergio de Pieri OAM, the programme contains an exciting mix of Australian and International musicians including a number of artists from Italy. In addition to the numerous recitals, there will be discussions, picnics, dinners and visits to historically significant public and private buildings in the region. The Festival, although centred in Ballarat, takes place in several locations throughout the Victorian Central Highland Goldfields region.

Not to miss: “Bach-Telemann. Two Giants of Baroque”, a recital performed by the Italian trio Sine Nomine (Claudia Lopez Gomez, violin, Gianfranco Bortolato, oboe, and Michele Benuzzi, harpsichord) on Friday 18th January, 3.00pm at Mary’s Mount Centre. With the support of the IIC Melbourne.
