These Digital Times#3

These Digital Times is a free, online music festival presented by the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

Join “These Digital Times” Saturday 25 July for the final instalment. All events are free to access.

“It is my pleasure to welcome audiences to These Digital Times. It is a testament to the versatility, resilience and passion of musicians and those that bring them to the stage that even in these difficult times we can find a way to continue to enjoy live music.” Michael Tortoni, Artistic Director Melbourne International Jazz Festival

The festival features a stellar line-up of Australian and international artists live streamed on the last Saturday of May, June and July. That’s three days of incredible live music in the comfort of your home and a much needed opportunity for musicians to do what they do best.

Performances from Saturday 30 May (violinist Luca Ciarla) and Saturday 27 June (guitarist Federico Casagrande) are still available to view for a limited time.

  • Not to miss: direct from Italy the amazing accordion performance by Vince Abbracciante – Saturday 25 July at 2.30pm.

Vince Abbracciante is a rising star of the accordion, with a remarkable technique and a deep feel for the blues and swing. His live performance melds these influences in genre-crossing venture deeper into the enigmas of psychedelic jazz music.

In this master’s hands, the accordion transcends its distinctive sound to take on a different voice entirely. Abbracciante’s accordion music is by turns moody, etheral and gripping.

This show is proudly supported by the IIC Melbourne.
