Applications open for the XXIV Edition of the International Flaiano Award for Italian Studies – Luca Attanasio

The International Flaiano Award for Italian Studies, established in 2002 and dedicated since 2021 to Ambassador Luca Attanasio, reaches its 24th edition, once again featuring the Under 35 Young Scholars Section. Organized within the framework of the Flaiano International Awards by the Ennio Flaiano Cultural Association and the Edoardo Tiboni Foundation, the award is a prestigious recognition for outstanding contributions to the field of Italian studies on an international level.

Since its establishment, the award has received the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and benefits from the collaboration of the Network of Italian Cultural Institutes (IIC), both in promoting the initiative and identifying the most deserving works. The jury, composed of experts in the field, evaluates submissions proposed by the Directors of the IICs, selecting works published between April 1, 2024, and April 15, 2025, in the respective countries.

Applications, accompanied by two copies of the proposed work – also to be submitted in PDF format to iicmelbourne@esteri.it – must be delivered no later than April 30, 2025, to the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne.

The award ceremony will take place in Pescara on June 28, 2025. Travel and accommodation expenses for the four winners will be covered by the organizers.

The Flaiano Award for Italian Studies remains a key initiative in cultural promotion, combining the enhancement of the Italian language with support for research and editorial production.
