For all those who aspire to teach Italian in Australia we provide the following information:<\/p>\n

Teaching Italian as part of a Lectureship at Australian Universities
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a result of the strategic nature of its support of Italian at university level, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs assumes the financial responsibilities of sending lecturers, who are selected from secondary school staff, to International universities.<\/p>\n

In the execution of their specific duties, the lecturers often collaborate with the Italian Institute of Culture present in the area, thus becoming a \u201ccultural agent\u201d in the broad sense of the term.<\/p>\n

In the academic year 2004-2005, 275 lecturers were sent overseas. Furthermore, the MFA distributes funds to foreign universities in support of Professorships in Italian language and, in particular, for the employment of local lecturers. As a result, universities in Eastern European, Central American, and African countries, which have not previously had permanent lecturers, have benefited.<\/p>\n

Teach Italian at the Italian Institute of Culture, Melbourne<\/strong><\/p>\n
