{"id":2685,"date":"2024-06-07T12:23:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-07T02:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iicmelbourne.esteri.it\/?p=2685"},"modified":"2024-06-07T12:24:29","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T02:24:29","slug":"presentation-of-the-books-pimpa-viaggia-in-italia-and-mille-meraviglie-in-blu-at-footscray-and-brunswick-south-primary-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iicmelbourne.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_istituto\/2024\/06\/presentation-of-the-books-pimpa-viaggia-in-italia-and-mille-meraviglie-in-blu-at-footscray-and-brunswick-south-primary-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation of the books &#8216;Pimpa viaggia in Italia&#8217; and &#8216;Mille meraviglie in blu&#8217; at Footscray and Brunswick South Primary Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In June, coinciding with the start of the third school term, the\u00a0<strong>Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne<\/strong>\u00a0will reach the<strong>\u00a0bilingual Italian-English primary schools<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>Footscray<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Brunswick<\/strong>\u00a0South to deliver copies of \u2018<strong>Pimpa viaggia in Italia<\/strong>\u2019 and \u2018<strong>Mille meraviglie in blu<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>These\u00a0<strong>two special editions<\/strong>\u00a0were specifically produced for the\u00a0<strong>Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>Franco Cosimo Panini<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Edizioni Piemme-Mondadori Libri<\/strong>, with the aim of\u00a0<strong>promoting knowledge of Italy and its territories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<strong>Pimpa viaggia in Italia<\/strong>\u2019, designed for a pre-school audience, recounts\u00a0<strong>Pimpa&#8217;s journey<\/strong>\u00a0along the Italian peninsula, discovering the historical, gastronomic and scenic beauties of Italy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;<strong>Mille meraviglie in blu<\/strong>&#8216; has\u00a0<strong>Geronimo Stilton<\/strong>\u00a0as its protagonist. After the success of the first volume \u2018Mille Meraviglie\u2019, this new series tells the story of the\u00a0<strong>Stilton family&#8217;s journey<\/strong>\u00a0along the\u00a0<strong>Italian coast<\/strong>\u00a0to discover places, traditions and knowledge linked to the culture of the sea.<\/p>\n<p>The pupils will be entertained by an illustrator and an\u00a0<strong>exhibition on Pimpa<\/strong>\u00a0set up for the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>We thank\u00a0<strong>Brunswick South Primary School<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Footscray Primary School<\/strong>\u00a0for hosting this event. The choice of the schools was based on the educational and academic values that lead them and for their commitment in promoting Italian language and culture.
