RODE Project - 24 violinists online

RODE Project - 24 violinists online

The pandemic has obliged Conservatories and Music Academies to move all teaching online while all regular class-based activities are suspended. Davide Alogna involved 23 colleagues - from Conservatory teachers to first parts of prestigious orchestras and chamber musicians and soloists of international level - to record via smartphone or makeshift cameras one of Pierre Rode's 24 Capricci op. 22 (an opus of utmost importance for the technical development of every young violinist) as he sought to contribute to students' training and inspire their motivation and spirit in these unprecedented times.
The 24 amazing Italian violinists, who have decided to be part of this project, supported by CIDIM and the music magazine Suonare News, are Davide Alogna, Emmanuele Baldini, Alessio Bidoli, Alberto Bologni, Daniela Cammarano, Gennaro Cardaropoli, Gabriele Ceci, Fabrizio Falasca, Marco Fiorini, Giuseppe Gibboni, Federico Guglielmo, Michelangelo Lentini, Enzo Ligresti, Fulvio Liviabella, Salvatore Lombardo, Francesco Manara, Luca Marzolla, Liù Pelliciari, Germana Porcu, Salvatore Quaranta, Luca Santaniello, Giacomo Scarponi, Anna Tifu, Edoardo Zosi. Sono docenti di violino nei Conservatori di musica, prime parti nelle grandi orchestre sinfoniche italiane e internazionali, cameristi, solisti, in poche parole il meglio della scuola violinistica italiana!
