FARE CINEMA - Book to screen.

FARE CINEMA - Book to screen.

From book to tv series: The cases of Montalbano, Gomorrah and My brilliant friend.

Produced in collaboration with the Turin International Book Fair, the three documentaries lasting about 20 minutes illustrate the process of adapting succesfull Italian novels into world-famous tv series: the saga of Commissario Montalbano by Andrea Camilleri, Gomorrah by Roberto Saviano and My brilliant friend by Elena Ferrante. Through interviews with authors, editors, directors, actors, producers and the director of the Turin International Book Fair, Nicola Lagioia, Book To Screen presents all the ingredients required to transform a bestseller into a TV series of film.

Each documentary will create a bridge with the future, anticipating another upcoming TV series or film with an interview with the authors of novels that are soon to become TV series or films: Sara. La ragazza di Avetrana (Fandango) by Flavia Piccinini and Carmine Gazzanni, Nata per te. Storia di Alba raccontata fra noi (Einaudi) by Luca Trapanese and Luca Mercadante and Il treno dei bambini (Einaudi) by Viola Ardone.
