JUMP! tackles the problem of the rhythm of man in dialogue with the rhythm of the world. Dance is the answer to an implicit question in the environment that surrounds us: how to keep walking despite everything collapsing? We use the clown as a metaphor for the human condition.

Buster Keaton continually modifies his body and the laws of physics that affect him in function of an obstinate march. He uses disasters to feed the rhythm of his gags. Pure dance in harmony with the movement of the world.

We chose to work from an empty space, from a couple of performers who work on comic, slapstick and gag physical actions. On this rhythmic fabric, two dancers seek the geometric essence of a "clumsy" movement.

The difference of languages in the same space creates a rhythmic dialogue, like musicians with different instruments for the same symphony. A continuous counterpoint between concrete actions and abstract movements. Fall, jump, suspension.

The fall, if seen upside down, becomes a leap, an attempt to fly.
