CAFFÈ LETTERARIO

This course is designed for those who have a specific interest for Italian literature and would like to know more about it, through the reading of some of its masterpieces. The teacher, an expert, will present some texts of both classic and contemporary literature and will analyse them in class, along with the students.

Target audience: This course is suitable for those who have a C1 level or equivalent.

Material required: The teacher will supply the course material, both tailor-made and taken from other sources (textbooks, newspapers and new media).

Duration: 10 weeks, 2 hours and a half weekly - The course is activated with a minimum of 6 students.

ITALIAN CULTURE

This is a specific course for those who want to learn more about Italians and their culture. During this course, you will have the opportunity to know about Italian food, art, music, etc. and ask all the questions you always wanted to ask about Italians.

It is also a great way to revise and improve your vocabulary and grammar.

Target audience: There are two courses: the first one is suitable for those who have a B1 level or equivalent; while the second one one is suitable for those who have a B2 level or equivalent.

Material required: The teacher will supply the course material, both tailor-made and taken from other sources (textbooks, newspapers and new media).

Duration: 10 weeks, 2 hours and a half weekly - The course is activated with a minimum of 6 students.

ITALIAN THROUGH FOOD

This course is specific for those interested in improving their knowledge of Italian through the wonders of its food. A journey from North to South, discovering recipes, ingredients, products and culinary traditions. During this course, you will revise and improve your knowledge of the bella lingua, plus, you will learn more about the extraordinary variety of its products and cuisine.

Classes will work on the four abilities (speaking, listening, reading and writing), focusing on the speaking.

Target audience: Suitable for someone that has completed level A2 or equivalent.

This course is specific for those interested in improving their knowledge of Italian language and culture through Italian movies, while improving speaking, reading and listening skills.

By watching movies, extracts and by participating in discussions based on selected scenes, the students will also develop a critical outlook and understanding of modern Italian society.

Target audience: Suitable for someone that has completed level B2 or equivalent.

By listening to songs from different periods of time, analysing their tests and participating in discussions, the students will also develop a critical outlook and understanding of old and modern Italian society.

Target audience: Suitable for someone that has completed level A2 or equivalent.

We will study paintings, sculptures, architecture, of different styles and from diverse historical contexts.
