IIC Melbourne informs you of the publication of the second edition of the "Essays" call for the assignment of 6 places, reserved for translators of German, English and French mother tongue for a monthly stay to be carried out in July 2023 at the Ugo da Como Foundation, located in Lonato del Garda (Brescia).
The latter will make its facilities available and will guarantee room and board for each of the selected translators (2 for each of the languages mentioned). The result of a special agreement signed by Cepell and the Ugo da Como Foundation with the aim of encouraging the translation of Italian books abroad, the tender requires the existence of a publishing contract for the translation of an Italian non-fiction work in the candidate's native language or, alternatively, of an ongoing translation project.
During the residency period, a series of professional seminar meetings are planned with writers, journalists, university professors, translators, publishers and publishing house managers, as well as a specific initiative in collaboration with the Goffredo and Maria Bellonci Foundation and with the Witch Prize.
