Discovering Dante (C1): This course offers a unique opportunity to study Dante’s journey through the afterlife, by beginning with Canto 1 from the Inferno. The aim of the course, held in Italian by an expert Italian teacher, is to examine, illustrate and interpret each Canto according to various levels of meaning: literal, allegorical and moral. Particular attention will be given to Dante’s moral and religious ideas and their relevance in today’s world.

Italian for Travellers: A course designed specifically for people who are planning a trip to Italy and need to learn some basic survival phrases. Beginner level. Available on Thursday (90 minute class over 8 weeks) and on Saturday (3 hours class over 5 weeks).

Italian through Literature (B1-C1): Designed for intermediate-advanced Italian speakers. Students are given the opportunity to discuss topics mainly regarding classic and contemporary Italian literature, through the reading of extracts from novels by Italian writers.

Italian for Italians: For students of Italian origin who want to learn the proper Italian language and who have a predominantly oral or dialectal knowledge of the language.

Italian through Regional Food (A2-B2): Learn Italian through reading activities using festive recipes and traditional specialities from Italian national and regional cuisine - what a treat!

Italian through Songs (A2): From Jovanotti to Venditti, this unique experience will sharpen your pronunciation and speaking skills while studying contemporary prose. Each lesson is highly interactive and whilst students are encouraged to sing together in class, no formal singing abilities are required.

Italian through Cinema (B1-C1):This course offers students the possibility to study and improve their Italian language skills through viewings of cultural comedy short films. Each week students will watch a short film and engage in linguistic activities, both written and oral, to facilitate language comprehension in a fun and useful manner.

Caffè italiano: Conversation course. This course is intended for students who wish to consolidate and practise their conversation skills while revising and consolidating their grammar. The course is a great way to practice your Italian, expand your vocabulary and improve your understanding of the language. Elementary, intermediate and advanced level.










Carpe Diem (Seize the day): Learn Latin as a foundation for Italian and the study of other languages! Latin is a living, breathing language! Did you know that many of the English words that we use today, such as ad hoc, memorandum, et cetera, and habitat are based on Latin roots? Through this course you will learn the basics of the Latin language. You will acquire the essential grammar and vocabulary to start translating and composing simple Latin sentences. You will learn the correct pronunciation rules and have an understanding of the main aspects of ancient Roman society as well.

We offer special seminar series in English on topics relating to Italian language and culture.


Each individual course has a unique fee; please contact us for further information.

Textbooks are not included in the course fee and are available for purchase at reception. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure they have the required textbooks for their course.
