Initial sign: “15 km from Rome stands a Sanctuary, a pilgrimage destination, an object of devotion. The faithful who depart at night in procession from the capital, and crowds of peasants from the towns of upper Lazio, Ciociaria, Abruzzi “

Refusing the live shooting, abolishing the comment off, exactly 50 years ago “Divine Love” was proposed as an anti-ethnological and anti-anthropological documentary, delegating to the avant-garde music of Egisto Macchi to contextualise the cult of the image of the Madonna preserved in the Sanctuary of Divine Love: a cult born in modern times at the end of World War II, incorporating archaic liturgies, now alienated and reduced to a pure fetish. Rejected by the Commission of Quality Awards for technical insufficiencies and artistic deficiencies, never distributed and believed lost, “Divine Love” was recovered in 2013.
