“Lingua geniale: ideare, progettare, creare con l’italiano”
The 26th Week of the Italian Language in the World will take place from 19 to 25 October 2026, focusing on the theme “Lingua geniale: ideare, progettare, creare con l’italiano”.
The initiative is promoted in collaboration with Italy’s traditional partners in language and cultural promotion, MIM, MUR, MiC, Ambasciata svizzera, Accademia della Crusca, CePeLL, CGIE, RAI, Società Dante Alighieri e Treccani.
L’italiano tra cultura, creatività e innovazione
This year’s theme highlights the strong connection between language, culture and growth, celebrating Italian as a means of sharing Italy’s ideas, values and expertise with the world.
As the heir to a long and rich history and tradition, the Italian language continues to express an extraordinary capacity to conceive, design and create, contributing to a dynamic, innovative and forward-looking image of Italy.
From technology and science to engineering, design, fashion, gastronomy, literature and the arts, Italian communicates and enhances the wealth of knowledge and expertise that Italy offers the world.
The 26th Week of the Italian Language in the World will be an opportunity to celebrate this “language of genius” and its role in promoting Italian creativity, innovation and cultural excellence internationally.
