The applications are open for the sixth edition of the prestigious National Prize ‘BookTuberPrize’.”
The Competition, promoted by the Center for the Book and Reading of the Ministry of Culture, together with the General Directorate for Students and the General Directorate, aims to spread the passion for reading among young people, enhancing comprehension, synthesis, and critical thinking skills.
How to participate:
- The competition is open to all Italian students aged 11 to 21, both in Italy and abroad.
- Read a book or a collection of poetry in Italian published by Italian authors between 2000 and today.
- Create a video review of the book, lasting no more than 2 minutes in mp4 format.
- You can participate alone or in a group (up to three people).
- Choose one of the four thematic categories: fiction, poetry, illustrated book, graphic novel/comic book.
- Upload the video to a YouTube channel in “unlisted” mode and send the link by filling out the attached Google form in the Regulation.
Prizes:
- Winners will be announced during the “Più libri più liberi” Small and Medium Publishing Fair in Rome 2024.
- Each age group will have 3 winners, awarded with book vouchers worth €1000, €600, and €400.
- The bookstore where the voucher can be used will be designated with the National Prize for Book and Reading of the “Maggio dei libri” edition 2024.
