The Italian school of Sydney “Marco Polo” announces a literary competition titled ‘The return of Marco Polo: Travels, Memories, and Adventures to the Italian Roots’ to celebrate the 7th Centenary from the famous explorer’s death.
The competition is open to all, whether having Italian descent or not.
Participate by submitting within July 30th 2024 up to three unpublished stories, freely inspired by the theme of returning to one’s Italian roots, written in Italian, English, or regional dialect, with the respective translation.
First prize: 1000AU$
Second prize: 500AU$
Third prize: 250AU$
The competition is established under the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney, the Dante Alighieri Society in Canberra and the Com.It.Es of Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne.
