This year’s theme of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World is ‘Mediterranean Diet and Roots Cuisine: Health and Tradition’ and aims to highlight Italian food culture and the Mediterranean diet as an engine for growth and development. This edition is therefore a tribute to the Mediterranean Diet, a UNESCO World heritage site, which embodies the essence of a healthy and tasty diet.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne and the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne, for the ninth edition, are delighted to present an event that explore the healthy and traditional aspects of Mediterranean cuisine. On Thursday, 28 November, an evening of Italian culinary excellence will be held in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, with the extraordinary participation of MasterChef Guy Grossi. Guests will have the opportunity to taste unique dishes, prepared with authentic ingredients and traditional techniques, enhancing the inimitable taste of Italian cuisine. It will be a celebration of culinary traditions, accompanied by fine wines and live music, making the evening a unique gastronomic experience.
