MAECI – GRANTS AND AWARDS FOR TRANSLATIONS IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation promotes the distribution of publications and cinematographic works abroad by offering incentives for translation and dubbing or subtitling.
The Farnesina provides two types of financial incentives:
Grants for the translation of unpublished Italian work abroad and to the production, dubbing and subtitling of short and feature films and TV series;
Awards to Italian works translated abroad.
Applications for the assignment of awards and contribution must be submitted by 6 May 2022 to the Italian Cultural Institutes and to the Italian diplomatic and consular missions abroad according to the procedures established in the Call for candidates.

2020 – National Translation Awards (Premi Nazionali per la Traduzione) – MIBACT
The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MIBACT – Direzione Generale Biblioteche e Diritto d’Autore) offers ten prizes to acknowledge high cultural contribution to the Italian literary translation and publishing industry, both in Italian and in a foreign language.
