Hidden Treasures: Stunning Pieces of Art Outside the Grand Tour of Italy.

A series of 5 lectures conducted in English by Italian artist, art teacher and researcher Angela Viora who presents the artistic peculiarities of Torino (Piemonte), Sanremo (Liguria), Orvieto (Umbria), Ragusa province (Sicilia) and Ravenna (Emilia-Romagna).

angela viora

Angela Viora is an artist, art teacher and researcher born in Italy in 1983. She earned a BA in Painting and History of Art and an MA in Visual and Performing Arts at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin (IT).

She is currently a PhD Candidate in Theatre and Performance at Monash University in Melbourne. Her artistic practice spans drawing, painting, art installation, and performance art.

Angela has been teaching and lecturing art and history of art for many years, both in Italy and Australia. She has participated in conferences and festivals in various prestigious venues, such as Melbourne University (Psi#22, 2016), Fondazione Merz in Turin (Video.IT, 2013), and the MAXXI Museum in Rome (2012).

Her work has been exhibited, performed, and short-listed in exhibitions and prizes in Europe, the Middle-East, and Australia. Together with her art fellows and masters, she has represented the Turin Academy of Fine Arts at the 12th Istanbul Biennial (TK) in 2011.
