Overview/course content and outcome: This course offers students the opportunity to improve their speaking skills through discussion of a range of topics, including Italian films, literature, music and current affairs. Students will be able to participate actively in discussions, conducted and guided by a native-speaking teacher, and will be invited to prepare presentations on the topics covered, in order to consolidate the skills they have previously acquired.
Different grammar topics are covered during the course, through the use of inductive grammar.
Classes will work on the four abilities (speaking, listening, reading and writing), focusing on the speaking.
A communicative approach is used. Students engage in interactive language activities, participating in group and pair work. Students will also be offered guidance in self-study and homework tasks.
PRONUNCIATION COURSE
Suitable for students with an intermediate or advanced level — also available as private or semi-private lessons.
The Italian Diction and Phonetics Course aims to make you communicate better, with more elegance and clarity. In a short time you will improve your pronunciation and you will make yourself better understood by others: your communication will become safer and more effective. Speaking correctly means freeing yourself from pronunciation errors and regional inflections, from habits such as aphonia or dysphonia, and facing problems such as rhotacism , sigmatism.
